At This Very Moment wasn t a huge hit with my niece and nephew My niece liked it ok, but I think it s probably just a hair too young for her at this point My nephew didn t really listen to the book much, but when we got to the page of the owl nesting inside the saguaro cactus he did say, Amy, did you know that there is water inside cactuses I was pleased to learn that he knew this Reading to kids is such a great time to discover what they have learned I agree with Cheryl in CC NV s review At This Very Moment wasn t a huge hit with my niece and nephew My niece liked it ok, but I think it s probably just a hair too young for her at this point My nephew didn t really listen to the book much, but when we got to the page of the owl nesting inside the saguaro cactus he did say, Amy, did you know that there is water inside cactuses I was pleased to learn that he knew this Reading to kids is such a great time to discover what they have learned I agree with Cheryl in CC NV s review that this book does have a great hook It s soothing, and would be a great bedtime story, as it winds the kids down to sleep time Lovely illustrations, too, especially the images of sun setting on water

I like the idea that at any and every moment when you are going about your life, animals are going about theirs in different parts of the world but the story and illustrations were just okay for me.
