I was so lucky I got this book as an early reader I thank it for the author who has an exceptional great knowledge of horsemanship and history and he is blessed with the talent to catch the mental imagination and the heart of the reader It was exciting that the first scene was the American Western world, as a Hungarian it was very interesting for me I learned what was the quarterhorse, what kind of color the buckskin was I enjoyed that I didn t see letters when I read, but heard noises o I was so lucky I got this book as an early reader I thank it for the author who has an exceptional great knowledge of horsemanship and history and he is blessed with the talent to catch the mental imagination and the heart of the reader It was exciting that the first scene was the American Western world, as a Hungarian it was very interesting for me I learned what was the quarterhorse, what kind of color the buckskin was I enjoyed that I didn t see letters when I read, but heard noises of hoof beats, felt smells of whisky, coffee, tobacco, leather and manure, saw the light as it came through the wreathing dust, because the author gave me a strong live experience as if I would have been there on the spot Yes, the dust it could be the one of the most characteristic and unpleasant feature of the old Western world. The story is so swooping that I could not put the book away the action of the persons is vivid, highly spirited, continuous and wresting emotionally, the information of horsemanship and history is correct and exact My other favorite part is the scene of Olympic Games it is a very up to date part where I could learn about a great horse with a fantastic, courageous heart, who showed to the world that heart and will together could transform anything, namely a pony to a pegasusMy top favorite part is the APART This scene is full of absurdity of a sci fi of the frightening future at first sight, but I realized we live sometimes already in this absurdity nowadays so I regard this part as a warning take care people, don t loose your common sense, like and respect each other, appreciate and save the animals, nature. There are particles which create a system e.g archaeological matters like a poem, make the puzzle of the story, so the ending is very surprising, but we could invent everything, because it is strictly logical So I recommend this book for everybody who like exciting, romantic story and inclined to think about the lessons of history Who don t know horsemanship at all will see too and wonder how these wonderful animals take part in the life of mankind

Into the Dark is the last book in the Legend of the Great Horse trilogy As our journey with Meagan comes to a very unanticipated end, the story continues to capture the imagination and emotions as well, if not better than the first two books The story is swarming with revelations, history, action and finally a bit of romance We even get a glimpse into a very unappealing and suppressed possible future.Meagan and Dan didn t have the most auspicious start Their relationship was very rewardi Into the Dark is the last book in the Legend of the Great Horse trilogy As our journey with Meagan comes to a very unanticipated end, the story continues to capture the imagination and emotions as well, if not better than the first two books The story is swarming with revelations, history, action and finally a bit of romance We even get a glimpse into a very unappealing and suppressed possible future.Meagan and Dan didn t have the most auspicious start Their relationship was very rewarding for me as a reader The journey of their story is my favorite part of the entire trilogy It came across as very authentic and genuine Out of all the characters in The Legend of the Great Horse trilogy, Dan is the one I feel like I know the most Other than the main character Meagan , of course. The history portrayed in this and all the books in this trilogy are as close as your going to get to being there John Royce took a few liberties but, all in all I feel like I ve just returned from a short sojourn to the wild west I continue to be dazzled by his capacity to weave fact with fiction. The characters remain strikingly realistic and there is a very unpredictable at least for me twist at the end of the story.John Royce s writing is fluid and captivating The entire trilogy comes full circle for a grand finale that ties up every single loose end Additionally, I would like to add that the story had a happyish ending Usually, this kind of ish ending would have me a bit irritable However, for this story the ending was satisfying and appropriate To see the full review of this title and many others, check out my blog AlliesOpinions on Wordpress
