3.25 starsWhile the level of predictability is low you will get into the story, having clues or at least guess of the connection between BarkingMadd and Hatter and in my case, I also guess who s the real Hatter is in real life but the story itself is cute The idea of finding love in the world of game it s eromance, people is quite close to people who spends hours on the Internet, though might not be for playing MMOFPS that is Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter, for 3.25 starsWhile the level of predictability is low you will get into the story, having clues or at least guess of the connection between BarkingMadd and Hatter and in my case, I also guess who s the real Hatter is in real life but the story itself is cute The idea of finding love in the world of game it s eromance, people is quite close to people who spends hours on the Internet, though might not be for playing MMOFPS that is Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter, for those who is game online challenged like myself I like the fact that there s no insta love there s friendship and connection built first between the two characters In addition, the love interest is not described as someone perfectly gorgeous and handsome There s some funny moments that made me smile, which involves a phone call from Nathan s current fuck buddy, Johan I like that the characters are young adult, and they do feel young. My complaints One, the Kindle formatting is terrible Two, the sex scenes themselves are a bit uninspiring but then again, I m not very much into dream sex or jerking off while imagining your online characters and talking by headphone sex At least the real sex comes near in the end Oh, and for those who are not very much into online game, the descriptions might feel a bit too heavy I don t mind the last part though All in all, it s a nice read PS The title is smart

4.5 starsNathan screen name Bite had a close friend that he met through online game He only knew his friend by his screen name, Barking.Four years ago, Barking revealed that he was gay This made Nathan freaked out Not because he s homophobic, but because he tried to bury his own feeling of being gay himself Being a confused teenager at the time, he felt angry at Barking for not telling him earlier He avoided any contact with his friend and ignored any email Barking sent him He went to c 4.5 starsNathan screen name Bite had a close friend that he met through online game He only knew his friend by his screen name, Barking.Four years ago, Barking revealed that he was gay This made Nathan freaked out Not because he s homophobic, but because he tried to bury his own feeling of being gay himself Being a confused teenager at the time, he felt angry at Barking for not telling him earlier He avoided any contact with his friend and ignored any email Barking sent him He went to college and they lost contact completely.Fast forward to today Nathan had graduated from college and was content of being gay He had a f ck buddy in college, Johan, but nothing serious, although they talked about moved in together He got a job starting in the Fall, and he went home to his mother s home for Summer Looking at his old room and computer made Nathan remember his old online friend that he abandoned He went to the game s site, but it s discontinued a couple years ago Fortunately, the game company was trying to revive the game and opened for beta testers Nathan applied, and approved Recognizing the screen names of the old timers on the players list, he left messages in public forum about his efforts to reconnect with an old friend, Barking None of the players knew where Baking was, but they promised him that they d let him know if they had info.Nathan started to immerse himself in the game, and made some new friends One of them, a game moderator named Hatter, became a close friend They played the game every day While he never forgot about Barking, Nathan started to wonder about his feeling toward Hatter When Johan, his f ck buddy called and their x rated conversation was heard by everyone in the game forum, including by Hatter, Nathan had to make a decision Would he lose another close friend again I like reading this novella It s cute, romantic, and the sex is not until quite late into the book The budding relationship between Nathan and Hatter was nice At one point Hatter figured out who Nathan was, but his position in real life made him reluctant to reveal himself The MC is not necessarily the most handsome person in the world that would people look Even Nathan thought so when they first meet in person If Nathan were being honest with himself, for a moment his hopes sank In his head, due to the attractive game figure for Hatter, he d always had this idea that the real person behind the character would look similar Hatter was no means ugly, but rather he was just so average as to be forgettable. view spoiler Yes, of course Hatter was the one you suspected he was hide spoiler Unfortunately, I must say the gaming elements are quite heavy handed, especially in the first part of the story Since I m not a gamer, I didn t care much about it It didn t take much of my enjoyment, though

3.4 Cute story, Nathan aka BiteMe tries to find his gamer friend BarkingMad with whom he had a great friendship as a teenager but it ended on a sour note that has haunted Nathan s conscience.Instead of BarkingMad he finds Hatter and they strike up a friendship. It s a nice story and I enjoyed it you can breath again Vio dear but it s a little heavy on gaming, but that was ok, I guess. The real life meet up is late in the book and the real life sex even later, which I actually thought was ni 3.4 Cute story, Nathan aka BiteMe tries to find his gamer friend BarkingMad with whom he had a great friendship as a teenager but it ended on a sour note that has haunted Nathan s conscience.Instead of BarkingMad he finds Hatter and they strike up a friendship. It s a nice story and I enjoyed it you can breath again Vio dear but it s a little heavy on gaming, but that was ok, I guess. The real life meet up is late in the book and the real life sex even later, which I actually thought was nice.I don t think it s hard to figure out who Hatter was in the game or RL, but that didn t detract any and it has a very hopeful HFN ending

Gamers Do It BetterWhen Nathan was a teenager he was one of those kids wrapped up in the world of online gaming Namely a game titled The Land of Shallowsea His screename was BitMe and his partner in crime was another boy called BarkingMadd They were a legendary team in the game Players created a catch phrase for the awesomeness that was Barking and Bite And then one day, Nathan finds out that his best friend is gay and, because he s questioning his own sexuality, Nathan freaks and ends the Gamers Do It BetterWhen Nathan was a teenager he was one of those kids wrapped up in the world of online gaming Namely a game titled The Land of Shallowsea His screename was BitMe and his partner in crime was another boy called BarkingMadd They were a legendary team in the game Players created a catch phrase for the awesomeness that was Barking and Bite And then one day, Nathan finds out that his best friend is gay and, because he s questioning his own sexuality, Nathan freaks and ends the friendship.Oh, this story made me smile I love reading romances set in the e universe In a world that s been made smaller by the internet, and where it s sometimes easier to connect with those online than with your neighbors, online romances are becoming common Nathan is the quintissential teen who s caught up in his first person shooter role playing game He even has sexual fantasies and dreams about his and Barking s characters. When the story starts, Nathan has just graduated from college and is home for a few weeks before his new job starts After a conversation with his mom he decides to try and find his old friend Barking again so that he can apologize for rejecting the best friend he ever had Nathan finds out that the old game has been shut down but they are accepting beta testers for a new version of the game Nathan signs up to beta the game and that s where he meets one of the game s moderators, Hatter. While Nathan is looking for Barking, and getting back into the game, he and Hatter strike up a friendship While those story isn t super deep or anything it was really, really cute in a very dorky way There s cyber stroking and a bit of a twist to the story It was predictable but I found myself not caring about the predictability The ending was sweet and made me go Awww, how adorable. One thing I do have to note here is that I read the Kindle edition of this story and the formatting was horrible It was annoying because it kept distracting me I was in the mood for something cute and this hit the spot

4.5I agree with another reader that the gaming elements are quite heavy handed in this story.I ve played games and I m not talking about those children games, I m talking about heavy hardcore games, and I love it, so that part of the story focus about games was quite enjoyable, for an old gal like me, it was a dream. These two charming characters online were divine The game element, the romance, the sex scenes, everything was perfect.I had goosebumps when Nathan met Hatter for the first time in 4.5I agree with another reader that the gaming elements are quite heavy handed in this story.I ve played games and I m not talking about those children games, I m talking about heavy hardcore games, and I love it, so that part of the story focus about games was quite enjoyable, for an old gal like me, it was a dream. These two charming characters online were divine The game element, the romance, the sex scenes, everything was perfect.I had goosebumps when Nathan met Hatter for the first time in person, sucha lovely story I would have recommended this story to my son my game partner he would have loved it, a real pity he doesn t read M M books
