It appears, my life is fated to torment My way is dammed up grief and distressMy life has been severed from fun and enjoyment,Vexation and wounds are afflicting my chestIt seems I m fated to suffer from painAll I have in this life are bad luck and misfortune I have suffered enough in this life and againBoth my body and my soul have been put to the torture What have I been doing with my life Why haven t I found Sergei Yesenin earlier His poems are utterly beautiful Melancholic, heart breaking, devastating, romantic, lyrical and in one word EPIC For one thing I am certain I will be reading him again and again See these are poems I am fond of Especially the letter to a womanI felt pain in my chest as if somebody had hit me This is how much he touched me A letter to my mother oh his poems made me tear up. Sergei Yesenin was a gem in Russian poetry Leaves are falling here and yonder and the wind isdrawling and lowWho will gladden my heart I wonder Who will soothe it, my friend, do you know
