Useless in trying to prove anything with the crooked circular logic that Mr Dawkins shows so often as the downfall of religious apologetics while at the same time it is clear that the author only saw a heavily edited TV presentation instead of actually having read the bookDo not comment on real pieces of relevance in this manner Also do not give this book for free I actually wanted to charge the author for me reading it Waste of all of 45 minutes of my reading life

This short tract admirably states the main objections that intelligent people may have in rejecting the strident claims that Richard Dawkins tries to present as arguments for the non existence of God Chief of these is his total inability to comprehend or tackle the concept of God arrived at through natural reasoning That God exists outside of time or space for instance is not addressed by 'scientific' atheism Indeed Dawkins so narrows the target that the kind of God he wishes to tackle is severely delimited before his evidence based arguments ever get started Of course his arguments work very well against simple thought but they fall at the barrier of serious philosophical examination which is why people such as Dawkins and Krauss will seek to minimize any philosophical position outside of empiricism as a means of knowing anything thus Krauss for example is forced to redefine the concept of 'nothing' in order to argue that something can come from it However I digressMy only objection is that there is applied to Dawkins in a couple of places a touch of the pitying ironic tone that I find unpalatable when used by Dawkins himself to describe those who would oppose him descriptions of his intelligence being 'amoeba like' for instance may give Professor Dawkins a taste of his own dismissive rhetoric but obviously though he is not as 'bright' as he might like to think himself to be he is still an intelligent person who would rightly find having a candle lit for him at mass patronizing and insulting

McCoy spends time trying to insult Richard Dawkins than he does trying to actually prove a point I disagree with a lot the Richard Dawkins has to say in 'The God Delusion' but this book is pointless and makes no valid arguments that help his point

It would be nice to see a bit depth than this short piece represents but maybe it is a waste of time to rebut Dawkins in detail Some excellent points in this succinctly stated
