35 starsWell this was interesting And a cliffhanger Which I didn't know about and as we all know cliffhangers suckI picked this up because I've never read about shark shifters and I have to say it made a nice change The prologue grips you and the plot makes you want to know For an erotic romance it had an actual plot and the couple didn't get busy until after the 55% mark You expect Koenraad to be like But instead he is Maybe not exactly that but he's not a ruthless opportunist He has a tragic backstory you want to see resolved and he patrols the ocean where he lives to help animals and humans alike Why I didn't rate it higher? Maybe it was because I was expecting a resolution and got the cliffy but it felt dragged out in places And though there is chemistry between Koenraad and Monroe I didn't feel it strongly if that makes sense I didn't warm up to Monroe in general she felt a bit wishy washy She accepted the shifer issue with no uestions asked no discussion I would've been firing so many uestions at the guy he'd lose track in 3 seconds She mentions she's surprised at her self for accepting it all so easy but it just wasn't convincing for meOther shifters are mentioned like lupine and dolphin but you don't get much details about them I wanted to know about the sharks hierarchy and how they all operate I am definitely reading the next one as I need to know what is happening If you love PNR and shifters I'd recommend giving this one a try Even if you end up not liking it you can at least say you read a shark shifter book

3 to 35★ At first I was doubtful about this I mean shark shapeshifter I haven’t encountered one yet a dolphin a seal yes But shark? Hell they eat people So okay here goes the adventureSo first of all so that you might not be blindsided like me this is a cliffhanger one I haven’t realized after I have finished reading and frankly that’s uite a frustration I haven’t gotten over it actually Until now I mean arghBut well it was a slow build to something I want to explore Koenraad has secrets that adds to the mystery of the sick they are investigating And to it is that why he is not affected Also there was eating people of course but eating that is you know eating LOLI guess what I’ve liked was the animalistic and predator side of Koenraad He is the defining point of what I've liked in here and the secrets that I want to explore Monroe? Well not so much

This book is free and thank god for it as it's a serial and it ends midaction I believe it should have a warning otherwise it's cheating At this point I don't know if all the other books are part of the serial or just the second Stay clear

Surprisingly good freebie This was a hot little novella about a shark shifter I was curious if I would find the guy in any way hot as I do not like sharks at all I am afraid of them and I do not like to watch them or would ever go into any body of water where there could be sharks What I liked here was that the shark shifter was kind of alien He was not simply a human with somehing tagged onto him The love interest was not a model beauty but a normal woman And it was hot Only downside there was no real story It read like the first third of a book than a novella with beginning middle and end Not sure if my interest is strong enough to check out the rest of the series

This is not a novel It's barely a novella There's no completed story arc once the beginning and conflict is set up; the story is lacking a proper climax well there are climaxes but of a different sort; on that later The story began set up a mystery then set up another mystery began to explore them then the book ended with no clear resolution Even if you set up an over arcing storyline to a series of books in each individual book there's always a smaller mystery that gets explored and resolved by the end of each book That didn't happen here The book didn't end on a cliffhanger the book ended on action which should've been picked up in the next chapter On the next page At least one of the mysteries Peitsche set up in her story should've been resolved possibly the one about Koenraad's son something that could've been done in about four chapters to judge by her pacingThe overall story idea is interesting the sex scenes okay they were hot And probably the most well done parts of the story; how Koenraad responds to women in general and Monroe in particular the way they made love the way Koenraad feels the need to bite Monroe during sex which mimics exactly the mating habits of sharks especially Great Whites and even the details of his um dingle dangle they were all extremely creative Not to mention the writing itself the techniue grammar spelling dialogue was pretty good It's a shame that kind of creativity was let down by a lackluster plot and poor story planningAs far as reading the second novel I sincerely doubt I will Frankly the only reason I picked up this title was because it was free If I'd paid money for what I'd received I'd have been mightily pissed off And while it was fun to read the sex scenes I'm not invested enough in any of the characters to discover what happens to them in the following novelsBut I read it So take that faerie

I've read a fair amount of erotica in my life and a very large portion of those titles contain shifters that are either some sort of jungle cat or most commonly a wolf I tried passing this book by as I looked through titles but I just couldn't do it How often does one stumble across a shifter romance where the hunky lead's shifting form is a shark? I thought this would be just what I needed to get out of the wolf cat shifter romance rut I've been in and I was largely correct I really liked both main characters in this story Monroe is likable and relatable She's trying to figure out what she wants out of life and how to get it and has self worth issues that I think we all have grappled with at some point or another She gains her inner strength and decides to take what she wants and I like that about her And then there's Koenraad the hunky shifter previously mentioned He's rich and protective and alpha and all other things good in the world of romance books Together they're explosive and I loved reading about them growing together as a couple The sex scenes are well written and the rest of the plot is too I also really liked the setting It's very detailed so that the reader feels like they've been whisked off to a beautiful island paradise too The shark shifting ties into the island's history and I found this to be a nice touch to the setting and explanation of the significance of Koenraad's abilities This was my first experience reading a romance where a shark shifter takes center stage but oddly enough it really worked for me and I hope that it won't be the last If Goodreads proves correct this is a series and I would definitely read the next book to follow what happens If you're tired of run of the mill shifter romances this is a book for you Thanks to Pouch Productions Netgalley who provided me with a copy in exchange for my honest review This review can also be found on my blog Bitches n Prose

I have to say this wasn't what i was expecting I'm used to Bears Wolfs lions and other cat shifters But a shark is something new and I was pleasantly surprised I mean it was uniue and the story was good I was dragged in and didn't want to put it down Monroe hasn't had much luck in the men department Here she is now one of the last of her friends to not be married or in the engaged stage She's happy but sad at the same time Her ex boyfriend was a jerk and none of her friends liked him Now she's on an island for her friends' wedding and the last thing she expected was to meet a guy and fall for him Koenraad is a millionare shark shifter with responsibilities and a missing son How does he handle things? not welluntil he meets Monroe he can't get her out of his mind but what will happen to them with all of his secrets?

45 stars for this first book of the Shark Shifter series It's capturing from the start and bloody hot I have an idea but am looking forward to see where Cleo takes this story I know she's full of surprises I'm not into the paranormalshifter stuff and therefore am pretty picky And it was a bit weird to read for me but I was totally hookedIt's a really good story great characters and beautiful location It's like taking a little vacation from real life in paradiseThey both are hot together and yet there are still a lot of secrets that could break them and big decisions to makeCan't wait to read the next part

Excellent butThis is an excellent book but I didn't realize it's not a standalone It ends leaving you hanging It's definitely a great book and the first I've seen about a shark shifter I didn't think it would be so good however I was very wrong I hate being left hanging though so I'm not sure yet if I'll get the next book I'd have given 5 stars if it didn't leave me hanging I was sooo into the book completely engrossed enthralled then it ends in the middle ugh
