Ok, I am biased, because it s my book This novel would be appreciated by readers who read to think rather than to feel. The text is lean, you wont get lost in descriptions YOUR BODY IS MY PRISON is not just about alien who is trapped in a girl s body. This book is about our world and the way we treat each other, especially those who believe differently than us.

Strong 3.5What can I say, I love realising that I discovered new and interesting stories and this was a good example Okay so, on thetechnical aspects of the way they book was written since it is translated into English, I felt that there was smooth reading throughout The writing was on point, I mean I cannot really fault it since there were no grammatical errors that I noticed Your Body is My Prison definitely had a vibe that could resonate with the Wither series by Lauren DeStefano Strong 3.5What can I say, I love realising that I discovered new and interesting stories and this was a good example Okay so, on thetechnical aspects of the way they book was written since it is translated into English, I felt that there was smooth reading throughout The writing was on point, I mean I cannot really fault it since there were no grammatical errors that I noticed Your Body is My Prison definitely had a vibe that could resonate with the Wither series by Lauren DeStefano Because it kept developing on the mythological and mysterious type of ideologies which truly captured the unique story the author tried to create It kind of also resembled a little bit of The Darkest Minds book in terms of the psychological aspectsAction.Adventure.Mystery.Aliens..Mind games.Sadness.Darkness.Exposure Starting from the first chapter and throughout about 3 4 of the book, I can safely and definitely say that it was ADDICTIVE It instantly grabbed my attention as it had a confusing inception type of theme to it It made you wonder on the all questions you d ask yourself if you were in an alien pun intended world that was the polar opposite of what you know It has psychological perspectives throughout the story which is a great way to give off clues as to what Michelle s nightmares are made from and the constant mindset of why, how and who the hellThe story is also action packed but because it centred around thought provoking psychological aspects of ones mind, it was made for a fun read. One of the aspects that I did not really like from the first few chapters was the over descriptive explanations in the story behind her mother, brother, and father It slowed down the story a little and it made me reconsider whether I will keep on eagerly flipping to the next page BUT the action packed intense and almost raw like second but almost the same scene where she murders the man, hooks you into wanting to keep on going even when faced with the boring parts This reminds me of the type of books that try to balance out the greatly created moving action moments within the story with information that can sometimes seem forced I mean, this observation is mainly because I prefer and lean towards dialogue based descriptive information that the reader learns through Or even a simple one or two word description in the characters change of mind would be enough to show rather than tell the readerAnother aspect that made me less attached to the narrator was the way she made her decision and her general lack of sympathy or emotions At times it seemed like the reader was expected to feel sadness or cry in the characters place instead For instance, when her little bother died, I was fully expecting at least half a chapter if not the rest of the book to be filled with sad thoughts, memories, tears and the raw emotional instability when it came to her finding outabout the aliens But that did not happen Definitely a negative factor that I cannot overlook since I am an empathetic type of writer and would just personality think that if anything happened to any of my family members, I don t know how the hell I would be able to cope If ever Carrying on from that point and finishing the book, I did feel satisfied with the overall story I knew why I was addicted to it and it was made well to last throughout the entire pages written Overall, I really liked the different ways the author created a beautiful, unique, intriguing, overwhelmingly interesting ideas, and an interesting way to present a fictional world that has potential realistic certainties to is as well.It was a fictional dark mystery that I was addicted to but I found a few mishaps which made me reconsider a few aspects of the overall book.Recommending this book would be easy I would definitely say that anyone can read it Whether you like YA I think you d find this a fast paced and thought provoking book Whether you like Adult books it ll probably be a fun read And if you like cultural, historical or non fictional books You should also give this book a try because you will end up withquestions that you ever thought possible from the barely there 160 page book Thank you Oksana Leslie for the beautifully but interestingly created dark world I enjoyed itthan I was expecting especially because I have a background in Law Criminology so I naturally tend to take mysteries to heart and over analyse every dusty corner But with this book, it was definitely fun and if anything, a good way to get my mind of reality for a little bit

Ok I have a lot to say about this book First I really liked the way it looked at grief and death and the way it showed how people think when dealing with grief The fast, unfocused, disjointed though pattern The emotions that you feel from anger, grief, regreat, shame, frustration And how you react to people and how you cant feel like yourself and can t help put feel lost and run by unease And I get the want to come together as a family and can t because of how you are feeling And I get Mic Ok I have a lot to say about this book First I really liked the way it looked at grief and death and the way it showed how people think when dealing with grief The fast, unfocused, disjointed though pattern The emotions that you feel from anger, grief, regreat, shame, frustration And how you react to people and how you cant feel like yourself and can t help put feel lost and run by unease And I get the want to come together as a family and can t because of how you are feeling And I get Michelle actions and behavior towards Tavy because it means being connected to someone when you feel most alone And I think writing style and speed along with characters actions dipected all of this And while I liked the fast pace most of the book during the rehabilitation I felt the fast paced rushed somethings I would have perferred to see flushed out But I also get it showed a teens inability to comprehend all of what she was going through But during the end action sense were great an suspenseful And the end with Tavy was great and I was so happy to see everything work out Now I must mention that while there was supose to be two main characters Michelle and Tavy, their really wasn t Michelle was the main character and why Tavy was their and played a large role he wasa character like Steve Meaning he supported Michelle and helped her find herself And Tavy was enjoyable and added such an element to the story but he just didn t come off as a main character to me This book wasn t perfect and there were parts I would have perfered to go slower or beenclea, but overall a solid book I really enjoyed and found characters that all had flaws and redeable characteristics that I think were special and conectable and really made this a book I enjoyed

In this Syfy kinda paranormal alien themed novel we find a young girl whose body seems to be the prison for an entity from another planet that had committed the crime of murder While the book lacked the fine tuning of say a Jeffery Deaver or other such author who has published many novels, this book still had the structure that I was able to find enjoyable Some of the best writing was about fate and how people make some off hand comments about wantingrest. boom next thing you know that In this Syfy kinda paranormal alien themed novel we find a young girl whose body seems to be the prison for an entity from another planet that had committed the crime of murder While the book lacked the fine tuning of say a Jeffery Deaver or other such author who has published many novels, this book still had the structure that I was able to find enjoyable Some of the best writing was about fate and how people make some off hand comments about wantingrest. boom next thing you know that person is now in a coma or how you want your life to beexciting what could beexciting than meeting an alien I look forward to seeing what this author has next to offer us maybe a series

Let s learn to live in harmony without recrimination I had also thought I could never kill anyone We never know ourselves fully What are we capable of doing Where are the boundaries of our fears What does it take to cause real rage, and how do we destroy the feeling of shame and guiltYour Body is My Prison is a sci fi drama charged with lots of gory scenes I ve never thought this mix of genres would be so interesting.Humanoids from Cassiopeia don t feel pain so they have choseLet s learn to live in harmony without recrimination I had also thought I could never kill anyone We never know ourselves fully What are we capable of doing Where are the boundaries of our fears What does it take to cause real rage, and how do we destroy the feeling of shame and guiltYour Body is My Prison is a sci fi drama charged with lots of gory scenes I ve never thought this mix of genres would be so interesting.Humanoids from Cassiopeia don t feel pain so they have chosen Earth as a punishment for their criminals Tavy, a healer from that planet has become a murderer and is sent to Earth, to inhabit the body of Michelle Michelle is a teenage girl that one day causes an accident while driving distracted Tavy must suffer through her body and mind, this process is called rehabilitation.I liked how this rehabilitation consist of little trips to different places where cruelty is being committed That way we can see a lot of awful rituals from different cultures and we get to think about the present of the human race.I loved the drama Aside from the sci fi elements, there is a family drama that takes place in Michelle s home Her stepdad, after this accident she caused, becomes abusive and resentful Her life is hell She has to deal with the consequences of the accident, the new soul inhabiting her body, and the constant harassment and accusations Fred makes. When I started the book I was a little bit worried because I had read a review that said it was not written in proper english, but the edition is professional and I have found only 1 typo in the whole book a thing that could have happen to anybody. However, I have to admit that the dialogues that involved Michelle and her boyfriend, Steve, were a little bit weird because of the abrupt way in which they often ended The novel is fast paced, full of gory scenes that were astonishingly developed and a story worth discussing I have noted before that some religious rituals or cultural traditions are depicted as cruel realities that still plague our planet I don t think there is anything offensive about that, I think that we can all agree that those acts of violence cannot be justified. The book is quite spiritual, though And for me that was not a good thing because I m not very spiritual I enjoyed that Michelle found a book about dream control and tried to achieve it, but that book also said that by changing your diet you could acquire that ability It seemed to simple a resolution for such a complex situation.Another thing that annoyed me a little was that the ending is too happy for my taste, but for people that likes an optimistic vision of life, the book is perfect It gives hope and shows the way the situations can drastically change in very little time.To summarise, Your Body is My Prison is a thought provoking book with a very original concept, and an amazing mix of science fiction with real life It has its flaws but it s completely worth the read.I will be waiting for Oksana s next book The woman was murmuring something to herself It was a song No It was a prayer No She was reciting spells The shaman had an aluminum basin near her with a dark bird in it The bird s legs were bound Suddenly, Michelle realized she was that bird, and it was terrifying The knife in the shaman s hand was getting closer and closer Slice Sharp pain shook her body

I m not going to go too much into a summary because I feel the summary on the book does it justice and if it grabs your interest it will probably be something you will want to read So I ll go into a few other things about this book. This novel was interesting I looked at several of the reviews on goodreads.com and many said they couldn t finish it because of the language gap since the author is native to Russia Honestly I was expecting the language to be worse because of those reviews It real I m not going to go too much into a summary because I feel the summary on the book does it justice and if it grabs your interest it will probably be something you will want to read So I ll go into a few other things about this book. This novel was interesting I looked at several of the reviews on goodreads.com and many said they couldn t finish it because of the language gap since the author is native to Russia Honestly I was expecting the language to be worse because of those reviews It really wasn t that bad Yes, there were places where you can tell that the author s first language is not English, but I felt she did a great job and it takes a lot of guts to write in a second language, especially English if it is not your native language I just had to read a little slower to make sure I fully understood what the author was trying to say when there was a grammatical misstep But it did not steer me away completely from this novel It was an easy and fast read regardless and I still enjoyed myself reading it Honestly, the only reason I m giving this book 3 instead of 4 stars is because I really didn t like the epilogue I felt it was fine where it ended and it was not needed to add the epilogue And the epilogue kind of confused things for me Up to that point I had no troubles following the ideas and concepts behind this book But the last few pages tripped me up a bit I might be the only one that didn t like the epilogue, but I still enjoyed this book It had interesting views and ideas about aliens and how they might encounter us differently than we normally would imagine Not as explorers, but as prisoners
