Another great sequel Mind you I don t believe for a minute that this would happen in real life The torture for sure, the happy ending there is no way that Kenneth would be able to live a normal life and not under a new identity Next sequel, I don t know if I want to read it, I already feel sorry for Perez and I wish Victor wasn t the main character.

FourStarsThis was an interesting book I really enjoyed the first one and even though you see some of the same characters, this one was not quite as good for me I did like Ken, but it felt like he was always putting himself down Once he had started to receive some attention from Snap, I expected the self deprecation to diminish However, it didn t That kind of grated on my patience, but I get why Chase would continue to bring it up.Snap was an interesting character I really liked him you c FourStarsThis was an interesting book I really enjoyed the first one and even though you see some of the same characters, this one was not quite as good for me I did like Ken, but it felt like he was always putting himself down Once he had started to receive some attention from Snap, I expected the self deprecation to diminish However, it didn t That kind of grated on my patience, but I get why Chase would continue to bring it up.Snap was an interesting character I really liked him you could feel how honest he was And, despite his reservations about Ken, Snap s character was so good that he was able to see what Ken was trying to do.The mystery continues I was intrigued to know who was the mysterious whistle blowerI have my suspicions, but really want to see what is in store of the rest of the characters I hope that we get to see Dalton in an upcoming book, because even though I hate him I want to see what his character is all about Also, I would like to continue this series because I really am hoping that Chase will write Victor s story he is the most interesting character for me.Even though this book was only lukewarm for me, I really did like the way that T.A Chase developed her characters It was not a rush, per say, you got to know them, their motivations and emotions Each character stood on their own, while learning to lean on each other.I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.AvidReaderFourStarsIt was a good story of drug smuggling and the drug cartels The story had a nice twist on how Ken fit into the whole drug scene.Ken and Snap were an interesting pair Ken was a recovering addict and Snap was the DEA agent I liked how Snap wasn t worried if anyone found out about his feelings for Ken It was great how Snap was so trusting of Ken, even with his background Ken was awesome helping the agents Both of them seemed to be looking for a littleto happen in their relationship. The story had a good ending to it I felt it was a good read and I enjoyed it, but it just didn t have the wow, it was amazing feel for me.I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.SherryFourStarsWhen Ken walks into a DEA office with information he will only give to Agent D Marcus Snap Jefferson, it becomes Snap s responsibility to keep the former junkie safe But Ken s identity is an enigma that proves to be almost as dangerous as his job as an informant This is the second book in the Delarosa Secrets series and while it should be read after Borderline, much of the backstory is filled in for new readers I love the way this story develops threads from the first book and leaves several things to be resolved in a future book I love the way the characters in these books are so multi faceted The author hasn t written good guys and bad guys she writes complicated, deeply flawed human beings The attraction between Snap and Ken is instant and their chemistry is explosive The sex scenes are hot, but I m still not sure I believe the straight laced boy scout DEA officer would really risk so much for instant sexual gratification Anyone wanting a great suspense series with hot sex between men in uniform will enjoy Delarosa Secrets.I was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads Sarah

After he got out of jail, Kenneth Santos just wanted to get clean and get on with his life But he knows that while he might be done with drugs and the cartels that push them, they are not done with him Forced to become an informant, by some unknown figure, Ken walks into the DEA s headquarters pretty much expecting nothing but his life expectancy to be counted in days if not hours He never expected that Agent D Marcus Snap Jefferson would take one look at him and decide to change his life f After he got out of jail, Kenneth Santos just wanted to get clean and get on with his life But he knows that while he might be done with drugs and the cartels that push them, they are not done with him Forced to become an informant, by some unknown figure, Ken walks into the DEA s headquarters pretty much expecting nothing but his life expectancy to be counted in days if not hours He never expected that Agent D Marcus Snap Jefferson would take one look at him and decide to change his life forever Whether that change is for better or for worse is yet to be seen.I really do like this series by Chase The topics can at times get a bit gruesome, but overall they are pretty light, enjoyable stories about cops and the bad guys that evade them some of them better than others Finding books about law enforcement that I can read with any real enjoyment is a bit of a long and hard search, so I m glad to have found this series Even if I think shagging your confidential informant is a really bad idea. This is the second book in the series, and I have be liking the slow build up of this world and these people I m also really excited to read book three because then we will finally get some quality time with out bad guys But for now, it was nice to see Victor and Perez someKen is a total mess, but then again, he s an ex junky criminal, so I wasn t expecting the world s most together man But even with all the shit that he is having to deal with, there is something about his acceptance of his life that I like It s a bit depressing, sure, but he knows what he has coming for him, and he still agrees to put his life on the line I like that about him.And despite the fact that keeping the growing Delarosa secret is a bit of an ethical minefield for these guys, they really do care for each other They just all seem to have a firm grasp on reality, which is nice even if not pretty. The ending was a bit rushed, and I would have loved to have seen a bitbuildup happening before the last big hurrah, but overall this was an enjoyable story And I am really looking forward to book three That one should be all kinds of fun This book was provided free in exchange for a fair and honest review for Love Bytes Go there to check out other reviews, author interviews, and all those awesome giveaways Click below.

This is the second book in the series, it can be read as standalone but I would read in order to really understand the dynamics between all the characters I just love this series, the easy banter between all the characters, the good verse evil It all just works This one, you really feel for Ken, he knows he s screwed up most of his life and he knows this one thing he is doing will probably get him killed but if he can redeem just a little, he s willing to try And Snap, wants to over look all This is the second book in the series, it can be read as standalone but I would read in order to really understand the dynamics between all the characters I just love this series, the easy banter between all the characters, the good verse evil It all just works This one, you really feel for Ken, he knows he s screwed up most of his life and he knows this one thing he is doing will probably get him killed but if he can redeem just a little, he s willing to try And Snap, wants to over look all Ken s faults, but will put the job first The fast paced story line, then the secondary one and the way they connect All make for a book that you don t want to put down I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review by Crystals Many reviews

Not sure how I got through this book Oh wait, yes I was able to finish this book because of Mac, Tanner, Perez and Victor Snap was a dumbass Dumber than a dumbass Ken, I wanted to snap that little shits neck I really didn t like these two MCs and I found myself wanting to reach through my nook to shake them both.Dalton and Mac were not good friends to go along with Snap getting place and then him sleeping with the junkie their first night there Snap was a poor excuse of a DEA agent if h Not sure how I got through this book Oh wait, yes I was able to finish this book because of Mac, Tanner, Perez and Victor Snap was a dumbass Dumber than a dumbass Ken, I wanted to snap that little shits neck I really didn t like these two MCs and I found myself wanting to reach through my nook to shake them both.Dalton and Mac were not good friends to go along with Snap getting place and then him sleeping with the junkie their first night there Snap was a poor excuse of a DEA agent if he couldn t even hold out a week before banging this guy The guy had no will power which made me question his ability as an agent

I didnt like it as much as the first book, but still enjoyed it.Pros Snap and Ken really liked them together as well as individual characters.Little snippets of Mac Tanner and their domesticated life Cons Victor still gives me creeps, and i dont like Perez s fascination with such a man, waaay too unhealthy for me.

I really enjoyed this book The characters were complex, interesting and I was fully invested in the HEA from the very beginning The plot was a little out there in places, other reviewers have commented, so I won t do so again, but somehow the author manages to pull it off.Very enjoyable and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
