This book was about Nora Every winter, her villagers would tell a story of the Great Bear This bear was known as being huge, and old The villagers told Nora, that the person that caught the bear, would be known as the best hunter ever So Nora decided that she was going to catch it Everybody told her, however, that she was too small So she trained, and trained, until Nora was allowed to go hunting The villagers departed in the forest Nora could not wait to catch the bear All she could do This book was about Nora Every winter, her villagers would tell a story of the Great Bear This bear was known as being huge, and old The villagers told Nora, that the person that caught the bear, would be known as the best hunter ever So Nora decided that she was going to catch it Everybody told her, however, that she was too small So she trained, and trained, until Nora was allowed to go hunting The villagers departed in the forest Nora could not wait to catch the bear All she could do was dream Nora learned how to set up traps, follow the dogs, and listen to all sorts of animals However, the bear never showed up, and the villagers wanted to head home Nora was very saddened and mad Then after a moment, she realized where the bear was So headed into the forest, and called out to the bear She kept walking, until she reached somewhere, she have never been to She found bear prints, and she knew the bear was close However, as she got farther away, she started wanting to give up, and head back She was lost She was alone and cold Until, there was a big shadow It was the Great Bear The bear was huge, and its eyes glowed Nora could not stop staring at it The bear led Nora out of the forest It led her all the way, to the campfire However, right when she got there, the bear was gone The footprints also disappeared The other villagers were mad, butrelieved that Nora came back safely Nora proclaimed she saw something amazing I thought this book was really well wrote It made the readers really think, and did not get it until the very end The bear is the forest itself, and that made the story so much cooler to read Also at the beginning, when the other villagers said Nora could not be a hunter, she trained, so that she can prove them wrong I thought this book contained a lot of morals, where one of them is that you should never give up your dreams Also I thought her determination was also admirably She never gave up, and came back to the village as a proud woman The author did a really good job creating a character where other kids can learn from, and made her character very likable.I also really enjoyed the pictures It was to my liking It was nicely drawn and very colorful You could clearly see the expressions of Nora, and feel exactly what she is feeling When she is happy, to when she is depressed Also I thought it was super cool, where the readers can see the bear in the background in the snow Showing that the bear was there the entire time This book was a really sweet, and nice, and the pictures really helped illustrate that
