HOLDING THEIR OWN AFTER ALL THESE YEARSAnother great addition to the stories of Cassie and Tom Duff It's nice seeing a mature couple with a long lasting marriage that is stable and loving They agreed from the beginning that it would be a domestic discipline marriage but that is what has kept them bonded and secure This story is a cross between flashbacks from early on in their marriage and present day events It also has a bit of relationship issues between longtime friends Sue and Steve and young couple Ryan and Allie The plot was very enjoyable with reminiscing earlier times among friends and some of Cassie's antics The dialog is humorous open and honest Because of the cast of characters being repeated you feel like you really get to know them Meeting some new ones added a spark to the mix

Cassie and Tom Duff are an older couple who have a domestic discipline marriage Despite the freuent application of the hair brush Cassie remains a headstrong woman with than a little Lucy Ricardo I Love Lucy in her In Cassie’s influence Cassie attempts to advise and help out her friends with their relationship issues She means well but her antics land her in hot water with her husband This is actually one of the realistic believable spanking romances I’ve readCassie’s Influence is a warm and fuzzy read The tone and style of the writing feels very personal It’s told entirely in Cassie’s point of view The reader doesn’t feel like she’s reading a story but like she’s sitting down for tea with a friend who confides “let me tell you what happened to me this time”

This is the next book in the Cassie series I really enjoy this series I agree with an earlier review that Cassie is a lot like Lucy in I Love Lucy She just has that mischievous uality and she definitely has the harebrained schemes Tom Cassie’s husband loves her and wants what is best for her I do think that he is pretty high handed sometimes but Cassie accepts him who am I to argue I enjoy reading about her escapades and I like reading about her friends as well I have had concerns about the relationship between Allie and Ryan Ryan doesn’t seem to realize that Allie is an adult I am glad to see that Cassie is concerned as well and is determined that Allie be allowed to live her life I give this book 5 stars

4 starsThis was a story of how friends influence friends Cassie and Tom use spankingsto keep Cassie’s temper under control He also uses it when she puts herself indanger Cassie has several friends that want what she has a happiness that others can seeThe story is one of events flashbacks and stories told by herself and her friends It shows how Cassie and Tom influenced them and their husbands into adopting a DD relationship of their ownThe spankings are not that severe and they are with hand and wooden spoon belt andhairbrush This story showed the love of their men for keeping the women safe and having a long lasting relationship

In this Cassie’s 6th book she seems to be settling down – no strike that can’t happen but she is thoughtful about her relationships using flashbacks to tell us about the important people in her life Especially the man who had become like a son to her Ryan and the young woman they introduced to him Allie It’s interesting watching this young couple take their cues from experienced if not necessarily “mature” influences Yes I’m talking about you Sue If you’re into DD this is the series to read
