It's an easy read even though it was the author's first book in English The author appears to be honest and he does a good job of explaining the sources of his knowledge and admitting what he doesn't know The only disappointment for me was the Conclusion which is perfunctory I would have liked to read the author's take on how the most important conseuences of the war the Camp David peace process and the movement of Egypt from the Soviet orbit to the American orbit affected Soviet policy in the region
