I wasn't expecting much when I picked The Boleyn Secret up but it turned out to be a cute little read For a short story it was good it was easy to get invested in the story and even if the outcome is well known I followed it with interest There were some passages which felt too modern and some parts were too rushed but for the most part it was very enjoyable I liked the fact that it was narrated both by Katherine Digby a fictional character and by Anne Boleyn Katherine wasn't much memorable but Anne's portrayal was good enough even if it is hard to judge fairly since the story was so shortOverall definitely an enjoyable read even if very short and not particularly original

The writing was very good but the story didn't fully fit the time period I would definitely reads other works by the author

PredictableA light weight tale with the only and obvious outcome I just wish there was substance to this tale

Cute and inoffensive but it didn't really go anywhere The lead character only really existed as an observer and had no narrative of her own while Anne Boleyn's story is already pretty well known and this really didn't add anything to it At least it was short and filled in an hour or so when I didn't have much else to do
