    An interesting, though now somewhat dated, approach to how to evaluate children s books for the legibility of print Watts examines font size, serifs, upper and lower case, leading or line spacing , line justification, punctuation, text and background color, and several other issues This is a good introduction to typography in children s books Sadly, it s out of print, and the available copies are expensive, so look in your area libraries or use inter library loan.
