A very simplistic pagan primer It's the who what when where and why on modern PaganismNeo Paganism However in places it's rather stripped down and over simplified This book is perfect though for giving to curious Non Pagan family and friends who are concerned or wondering about your spiritual pathreligion It is a good non frightening introductionHowever if you are someone who is a pagan or looking towards paganism possibly being your personal path I highly recommend Paganism A Guide to Earth Centered Religions by Joyce and River Higginbotham All in all O'Hara's book is a good volume to have in the library and to have read for sharing with the curious family and friends

  2. Denise Denise says:

Easy to read introduction to the Old Religion Paganism Explains the basic tenets who the God and Goddess are the tools used in rituals and how Christianity adopted many originally Pagan rituals and events and incorporated them into that religion Good book for those curious about Pagan spirituality or those curious about beliefs other than the major religions Donated to my local library after reading the book

  3. Tori Tori says:

This is the most basic knowledge on paganism and the author steers towards the Wiccan side of things Any information in this book is easily found other places and the other books and websites dedicated to these introductory tools and symbols will go much in depth I suggest new pagans spend their money on a different book with substance

  4. Gypsie Holley Gypsie Holley says:

This is a wonderfully written Pagan 101 informational book This book sticks to the facts and doesn't overlook anyone in any Pagan sense I would hand this book out to the ignorant ignorant of not knowing what it is we truly believe and feel A generalized wealth of information covering all aspects of Paganism Let's just say the knowledge is out there that those with negative conotations should be better prepared before they speak

Pretty good introduction for those curious about neo pagan practices gives a great overview without delving into too much detail about specific traditions
