Frightfully outdated Some of the core concepts are certainly useful and its value as a reference text for some lesson plans and a possible approach to vocabulary especially concerning the use of Phonemic Script and pronunciation should not be overlooked But at over 30 years old some of the examples and attitudes are showing their age Useful but not as a core resource

I think that this book gave me all the general ideas about proper vocabulary teaching especially by pointing out that the teaching of vocabulary should not be neglected and should be considered as one of the principal components of our language lessons With good displayable examples this book serves its role and can be very helpful for those interested in how to teach vocabulary properly
